Current Research
Our research team is currently working on a scoping review to better understand hypertension prevention and treatment strategies used at primary healthcare centers across South Asia. This work aims to identify gaps in current practices and highlight effective, community-based approaches to managing one of the region’s most pressing chronic health conditions. Through this review, we hope to contribute to the broader global health conversation and inform future intervention efforts.
South Asian Voices in Medicine: Speaker Panel
In addition to fostering a space to connect, learn, and be inspired by experts and the next generation of healthcare leaders, our South Asian Voices in Medicine panel brought together an incredible lineup of speakers who shared their unique journeys, challenges, and triumphs in the medical field. The panel featured South Asian physicians, researchers, and medical students from a variety of specialties, offering firsthand insights into navigating medicine while embracing cultural identity. From discussing representation in healthcare to balancing personal values with professional aspirations, each speaker contributed to a powerful dialogue on what it means to be a South Asian in medicine today. Attendees walked away with practical advice, renewed motivation, and a deeper sense of community.

Fundraiser for Bloom to Life
Our team has organized several fundraisers, including a color run and sticker sales at a South Asian cultural event, to support Bloom to Life, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance for congenital heart disease surgeries for families in need.
